December 18, 2008 - Just a short update on my medical condition. I'm finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel with regards to the healing of my leg and knee. I was in the wheelchair for 5 months with no weight being put on my leg and then was allowed some time using the walker and am now trying to get used to the cane (I'm far from perfect using the cane!) but I'm able to get around so much better now. There's still a lot of pain in the learning to walk again and I'm so looking forward to the day when I'll be painfree??!!! I'll be starting on more new patterns after the New Year so be on the lookout for these. Thanks to all of you for your kind words and wishes in these down times and thanks so much for sticking with me! I wish each and every one of you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HO HO HO and hope that this next year will be a big improvement over this old one.

******IMPORTANT NOTICE - Just a real short note to let you all know what has been happening (or not happening) at Cat and the Fiddle Designs in the last three weeks. I fell off the top of a ladder while trying to stake my tomato plant in my garden on July 6 and have been in the hospital ever since with multiple fractures in my right leg and knee. Surgery was performed on July 10 to put all the broken pieces back together again. I was released from the hospital yesterday (after much begging) and am now at home and will have my physical therapy here. I'm still in a lot of pain and not able to work but wanted to get this info out to you all. I have so many emails to answer and will get around to them when I'm able. For now, though, ePatterns can still be ordered and downloaded - I just won't be able to get your free pattern to you right away. I am so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused some of you and wish so much that I could make it all go away but unfortunately this is going to take some time. Please remember me in your prayers!

******WINTER PATTERN SALE - See SALES/SPECIALS FOR INFO*****

Welcome to Cat and the Fiddle Designs!

I'm so very glad that you stopped by to visit my little corner of Heaven and so hope that you'll enjoy your stay.

I'm Gini Simpson and I'm the owner/designer of all the treasures you're sure to find on the following pages. I've been making and selling dolls now for several years but finally started designing my own pattern line of dolls in 2003 when it became necessary for me to give up the craft shows and stay home. What fun I'm now having with all of my creations!

On the following pages you're bound to find just the "right thing" that you've been searching for - original primitive cloth doll patterns including but not limited to raggedies, mammies, bunnies, cats, snowmen, Americana, angels, etc. I offer paper patterns for these dolls as well as ePatterns on some. I'm constantly having my paper patterns converted into ePatterns so please keep checking back for the latest ePatterns.

Also, before you order from me for the first time, please be sure to read the Order Info Page where you'll find several tips on using the order buttons for the paper and ePatterns that will make your ordering run so much smoother (especially for ordering the ePatterns!).

Please be sure to join my mailing list found at the bottom of this page so you'll be sure to be notified of all new patterns & finished dolls added as well as all sales and specials that I'll be having.

ENJOY YOUR STAY!
